in the wake me up when september ends video? yes he does go off to war :) lol

each music video they made for american idiot is kinda the image they wanted for the album. the guy going off to war in wake me up when september ends is part of it..i guess lol. although people think it was written for september 11th, billie joe really wrote it for his father who passed away when he was young, and he died in september.

im glad you understand it...kinda. makes me feel happy because i thought you would get all confused and ask me a million questions about it xD

so the play is about 3 best friends: Johnny, Tunny and Will. theyre sick of where they live so they decide to go off on their own little advanture.

-Will finds out his girlfriend is pregnant so he stays home, but his girlfriend ends up leaving him because all he does is sit on the couch and do nothing but smoke and drink.
-while on the road, Tunny decides to join the army.
-Johnny gets all into drugs and gets his alter ego St. Jimmy, who is like the party side of him. until he meets Whatsername, the love of his life and he wants to get off drugs to be with her, but St. Jimmy keeps getting in the way and so she ends up leaving him.

In the end, Johnny returns home and St. Jimmy is killed. Tunny returns back from war in Iraq with one leg(he lost it in battle) and Will's girlfrind returns to him with their baby.

it's hard to explain kinda, but thats the gif of it. if you look up what its about then maybe youll underdstand it better. it's easy for me because i knew the story of American Idiot before it went on broadway lol.
