and i dont know. maybe she had an argument with her friends, maybe her allowance wasnt big enough, maybe her mum said something to upset her. or maybe it was something worse. but whatever it was, she shouldntve taken her life.

its not the music that i mind, its the attitude. musically, my chem have progressed brilliantly with TBP and yes it is an amazing album, but like you, i prefer their older stuff. either way, its their music and they can do whatever the hell they want with it.
and youre right, by dissing emo theyre dissing a helluva lot of their influences- which isnt the way to go.
once again, i dont tend to use words like 'prep' in a disparaging sense, as prep, like emo, is a fashion style that has its own culture and associations, and therefore, to use prep as an insult is on a par with using emo as an insult- whats one youth culture to another? yes, the girl wanted attention, but i doubt that her being a prep had anything to do with it. i know many perfeclty decent preps. its not the style that makes the person, but the person that makes the style.
