When Eric got into the NHL, kids started comparing her to him when she played with them. She got angry, so she legally adopted her aunt's last name, Wells, so that she could use that when she played for big, important teams to stop being compared.

sounds familiar. kind of creepy, lol. i have way to much time on my hands to just sit around and surf the web so i find a lot of people i know. one of these days i think my moms going to kill me for it. =]

that is a good point. i have a feeling he'll end up like nylander - sitting most of the season out, or getting traded or something. with all the new young talent coming into the league nowadays there's no chance he'll make it. pity.

yeah i have no idea on that one. and to be honest, i don't think he'll be able to last 12 years. i mean he's not really that great of a player to begin with. idk, i think 12 years is a long time. the 13 year deal with ovie works because he's young. he'll only be in his young 30s when it's up, leaving him still plenty of room to do more of the smaller year signings. starting a12-year stint at that point is just too much. oh well, i still wish the hawks luck. they're my favorite western team.

the first thing that came to mind was how they were hounding for a suspension a couple months ago... apparently their feelings have changed.
and yes, i did hear about knuble. i think he'll be a great addition to the team. ugh i really don't want to see brash in a Rags jersey though... somehow those images just don't sit too well together.

Prospect camp is probably the best time of year, up there with the start of the season and the playoffs. i'm so ready for it to come. oh and i'm glad you picked the Caps over the Flyers. good choice haha

oh i know how you feel. i guess i live fairly close (fairfax county) so it's not that bad. maybe 40 mins to KCI? anyway, good luck going to Maryland, that would be tight. i'm going to Towson in the fall so it's like definitely possible to come down for games, but the rents are all "if you're thinking of coming down for hockey during college then your head isn't in the right place." it's like they don't even know me haha. i would love to have the rookies around more often. dev. camp is the best time though. they just wander around ballston somewhat aimlessly and make for great conversation. prospects are some of the most entertaining people in the world :D

Oh yeah, that's fine. I'm not really a huge talker either, I just felt like saying 'hi' haha. Anyway, Development Camp/Fan Fest 09? I'm so there! Last year was amazing and I can't wait to go again. It's seriously like one of the highlights of my summer and I've basically already cleared my schedule :) I wonder who they're gonna have signing, like it was Brooksy last year...
