I try and watch Champions League as much as I can, but because of the time difference it is always on when I am at ice skating. I try to still follow though.

As for Ronaldo I don't really like him all that much. I think he is whiny and a big cry baby. I also think he could win academy awards with his "ouch someone tackled me the wrong way card them" theatrics. Then again Drogba from Chelsea tries that stuff too. I hate divers.

As for other teams I watch, I watch a lot of Chelsea (obviously). I watch some Everton matches, because their goalie is my favourite goalie and he is American. Tim Howard does amazing for the US national team. I also try and catch some Bolton matches too, because my favourite player is on that team actually. His name is Stuart Holden and he use to play in the Major League Soccer (the US league). He actually @replied to me on twitter and I about died. haha

I am looking forward to World Cup. Everyone is all excited about the USA v. England game. Everyone here thinks we have it bagged, because English players are getting injured, but i don't know. I know the US isn't gonna win World Cup though. It isn't me being a sucky national team support, it is just we aren't like the Europeans or Brazil. lol I just hope they don't suck and get somewhat far. I also wish for Germany to get very far and win something. They are the ones that sucked me into football so I always support them.

However, playoffs are right now for hockey. I can't think of football the slightest right now. haha

oh that's cool! the Blackhawks are amazing. I also love the Pens too. I have friends that are from Pittsburgh.

I got sucked into football, because my best friend is from Germany. She was the foreign exchange student one year and we became like instant best friends. She was here when Euro 08 was going and then I got sucked in like really bad. I love the German football club Bayern München too. They were like "my first football club". My best friend is from Munich, so that's how I picked up on Bayern. Then I started to watch Premier League and Chelsea just seemed to stick for me. Plus, they have the captain of the German national team on there team so that is how I started to watch them. I see you like Man U, and I can't really judge you on that. I don't mind Man U fans from the UK. When you come to the States Man U "fans" are just glory riding annoying people that just liked them, because of Ronaldo or Beckham. Maybe even Rooney who knows... All I know is when the Man U "fans" here try and talk football with me they are lost even on their own players and/or history of the club. However, I am somewhat upset with members of Chelsea as of late. Between John Terry drama and Asshole Cole/ Cheryl Cole rubbish I've about had it. lol

I play ball hockey, which is like ice hockey...but without the ice. I honestly just learned to skate. I took lessons when I was like 4 but I never learned, And thats sad because my brother's been playing ice hockey for like 20 years, so thats a fail on my part.
I never got into tennis for some reason. I like sports where I can move around a LOT. Not that tennis doesn't do that, but yeah.

Hi thanks for the friend request! You are from the UK how did you get sucked into hockey? I ask this, because people don't understand how I got sucked into football (real football not the messed up version of rugby). Do you have a favourite hockey team in the NHL?

aha, well, is your friend atleast teaching you soccer terminology when she talks about it? That would be the good thing to do! :)

Yeah! I'm really excited about that whole deal. When I took a tour of the school the tour guide told me that you actually get pretty decent tickets too, they won't put you up where you can't see anything. The Pens are doing good tonight though, right now it's 4-1 :)
Did you watch some of last night's Washington game? I kind of want them to lose, being a Pens fan and all :p

That's cool! My mom's been trying to get me to learn Cantonese and I'm trying but I'm not really catching on very well :/ It's definitely something different than what I'm used to. Russian I think would be fun just because like Cantonese it's something completely different. And if I ever saw Evgeni Malkin I could start talking to him in Russian! :p Maybe not right away but you know if I stuck with it for 4 years in college...

That's one of the reasons why I wanted to major in journalism. I really love writing so it's a perfect fit for me :) The type of journalism you want to do sounds like a lot of fun, especially the traveling part. I was thinking more along the lines of sports journalism (hopefully for hockey) but I'd be travelling and meeting different teams and seeing different cities. I love writing and I love sports so it works out great.

I'm probably going to do the foreign exchange. The program at Duquesne I think is set up where you spend a whole semester in the country which would be fun. I'm just holding off until I'm actually further along with school though. I don't want to do it freshman year because I'll still be meeting people and if I was gone a whole semester I'd lose that chance.

Lol, nope that wasn't made up. I do support the Pens. Its sort of runs in the family. I grew up watching them and cheering for them.
A lot of my friends play football, so I'm always watching it. Soccer is pretty fun, but its not a sport that I would play personally. Do you play any sports?

We didn't get a lot of snow this year. We had some days when it was bad, but yeah, not a lot of snow. But other years, we get a lot. I'm in southern Ontario, so we don't get as much as the cities up north. But regardless, I love the snow.
Yep, a couple of my friends and I. We're going to TRY and go to a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game while we're in Pittsburgh just because we can't get tickets here for the home team, so we're going to try there. Same with Columbus. We're going to try and catch a Blue Jackets game. We might even head to Chicago, but we're not sure yet. Should be fun though.

I LOVE the snow. Its my favourite thing about the season. The ice...eh. It's alright. I like the ice when I'm wearing skates. Thats about it :| Otherwise, I love it.
I wish I could do that. But when you go to Uni full time and only make like $12/hour. It doesn't give you much left over to do stuff. However, I am going to Pittsburgh/Columbus in March next year. So I'm saving up for that trip.
Where around the world is your family located?

That's cool :) I live 10 minutes or so away from the University of Virginia who has a really good college soccer team. They won the college national championship last year. I definitely want to watch the England vs USA. It's a real shame they don't give soccer as much TV time here as they do overseas. My friend in Germany LOVES soccer and half the time I have no idea who she's talking about :(

Yeah. Unfortunately the Pens lost last night :( I wasn't too happy about how Marc-Andre was struggling early in the game but hopefully they'll come back and win the next game. Haha, I actually got stuck deciding between the University of Massachusetts and Duquesne and I couldn't choose and hockey ended up being the deciding factor! The students there get a special deal where they get $20 tickets! :)

That's so cool! My mom actually learned Cantonese too. I love studying languages too. I'm pretty fluent in French since I took it for almost 6 years and then I've done almost 3 years of German now. I'm actually looking into taking either Russian or Italian in college next year.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I was thinking of going into journalism or something like that because I love to write so it's perfect.

It's like a foreign exchange type thing. I think my school has programs with schools in England, Ireland and Italy but you can really study anywhere you want. I might not do it this year but I'm definitely going to look into it!

The sun is good. At times. We've seen the sun quite a few times this month. So its always good.
I do have family all over the world. Its kind of crazy. I have a lot of family in the States, India, Russia, Germany, China, Switzerland and yeah, thats what I can think of from the top of my head.
I really don't like summer. I'm more of a autumn/winter kind of person. But I do want to go on vacation somewhere. Not sure where though...

All the times I've been there, its either been raining or sunny. So that's not too bad.
The weather was so nice here today. But I didn't have lunch outside. It was still kinda cool during that time. But now its super nice.
Lol, at least you got what I was trying to say.
Yep, I have a lot of family in England. So we tend to come a lot.
Falling asleep while driving his bad, so watching replays is safer than anything.
I really don't have any plans for the summer. Its too far away right now to actually plan something. Where are you going for your trip?
