Hm.. Well, I guess them not being mainstream kinda makes them... more popular, in an ironic sense.

I should get a chance to, but either way it'll take a while because I recently continued my "get new music" idea and now have to check out upwards of 40 or so bands a friend of mine showed me. >.>

I [kinda] listen to those three as well, though PATD definitely is not in my perspective of music I would like...
I do like Paramore, though. So far liked every song I've heard from them [which I think is like... 4].

I usually don't get that exact feeling.

lol. It's convenient that I asked, then. ^^

I have heard of Death Cab For Cutie, I think they're a tad bit underground.
But The Killers? I always thought they were pretty mainstream... Most of my friends [who are girls] like them a lot for some reason, but I guess I only heard of them because they had a song that was used in a game I play.

Interesting bit about the complexity... have you tried putting it into your own words anyway?

    Perhaps....

I am [or at least try to be] into almost everything, the main exceptions being country, "post-rock", and hip-hop.
I get criticized a bit for liking the genres of music that I do because some think it doesn't fit well or whatever [like listening to emotional metalcore music, rap-rock, power ballads, and "pop" all in the same day].
But I've been obsessing over Dream Theater for quite a while now.

    What about your musical tastes?

    Um..
Well, if you're the type to, you could always try looking for/finding bands that you may like. I know some who could use up a few hours for weeks on end doing stuff like that.
