Haha trust me, I get that. That's what I love about Hummingbird - she's supposed to be that awkward person who frustrates everyone because she's sheltered and awkward and unusual. It's what makes her so Hummingbird haha.

PS: Just got the Lights comment too.

I definitely wanted to avoid that cliche, where she immediately clicks with all the guys, because Hummingbird just isn't that girl. People tend to not like socially awkward people, because they make situations uncomfortable. But Grayson is going to prove to be a very different kind of girl. But that'll be revealed as the story goes on and you get to know her better. :)

the sad factor is pretty high right now, but trust me, it will diminish.

i just felt that everytime someone writes about any type of illness, they don't really take the time to actually [i]study[/i] their subject so that they can give the reader a full view. i was hoping that by me giving you the actual info, that it [i][b]would[/b][/i] feel personal and scary and sad all at once.

and really?
that's another reason why i started with him in the first chapter, so the reader would get their oli fix before they had to wait a while for their next one lol:)
and if that's highly unusual for you...then that just means that i'm doing my job better than i thought i was :)

yeah, i thought it would enrich his character.
i want tom to come off as paranoid about anything that seems to go his way, so it was only appropriate that he be suspicious of oli's actions.

actually, i was really going to make it a fake letter, but i couldn't think of where to go from there so i didn't.
and really? i thought that juli might be being [i]too[/i] abusive.
but i'm trying to develop her habits for the reader, and her pulling on his ear is one of them.

Dude! The ADTR crowd was totally insane. I didn't even know they were that popular. It was amazing. I had to leave half way through so I could go be sidestage for my boys in Hit the Lights.
'm totally addicted to ADTR right now though.
Did you see Gallows in Buffalo? They were at the end of the night and not a lot of people were still around... It was amazing.
