Ummm . . . thats always a really hard question for me, because i love different bands for different reasons....but if I really had to come down to it, it would be The Doors, I would totally do Jim Morrison if I lived in his time. He's amazing, but all bands have their own thing and thats what i think is missing now-a-days, there's no signature thing, like if Led Zeppelin comes on the radio, you KNOW it's Led Zeppelin, it's the same with the Doors, the Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, GNR, CCR, Aerosmith, all those amazing bands from the 60's, 70's, and a few in the 80's, by the 80's things started to dwindle a bit lol
lol, thanks, im jessica . . . and i love your picture by the way, when you click on your profile thats really cool, i wish i knew how to do stuff like that with my profile... but thanks again, i know i have amazing taste and obviously you do too cause you like the same, people just dont get music anymore these days
I suppose it's the fact that it's this teenage love story about two people who defy nature to be together. I mean, he's immortal, and described as this amazingly handsome guy but despite the fact he's handsome, he's an outcast and doesn't really truly belong. And she's this average looking girl, who seems to be just like any other girl in the world but yet, you feel something between two of them.
I've read my fair share of romance novels - believe me - and sometimes when the hero claims to have undying love for the heroine you feel cheap as if his love isn't real and he doesn't really love her but just wants to get in her pants.
I did get around to looking at Bukowski's poems actually and it kind of surprised me. I wasn't expecting them to be so - modern. I only read a few to be honest - are there any you'd recommend?
My favourite line from Shakespeare's would have to be from Romeo and Juliet.
"When he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun."
Actually, I've got a couple of school friends that write Harry Potter fanfiction. I can't say I ever really got into the books or the movies though. I've only read the first chapter of the first book, and I put it down. It didn't really grab me.
I loved Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. The lines he says just make me laugh.
Elizabeth: There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing.
Jack: I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.
And ohmygod that is exactly why I hate Twilight. Just because they are barely in the same genre, people want to argue which is the best. And compare it. Two completely different books, let's get over it people. Sirius is pretty fly, too :] The RL/SB ship scares me greatly, though.
Thanks :) I'm actually somewhat new to punk rock and medium new to classic rock. I used to just accept whatever was on the radio, but about a year ago I got tired of it, and I'm loving non-radio music, although some of it IS on the oldies/classic rock stations.
No, I actually didn't know he was still making new music. I kind of thought he was just doing the occasional concert of his songs that already exist. I don't pay much attention obviously lol. I normally listen to music on the computer and the radio and someday I hope to get an ipod. But life has been crazy for me these past few months so I feel like I'm just getting back into what's happening in the world :-P
Did you get Bob Dylan's new cd? And if you did you have to tell me how it is =]
