If the consequences are that severe, you should talk to your parents about it. Tell them how you feel about everything. If you already have or if it's no use, it's better to just leave it. If you still have feelings for him when you're older and are allowed to make your own decisions, maybe you can try to start things up again.

But I think the best thing is to keep trying to move on. There's no use suffering for a boy you can't be with.

Hmm. Well, maybe he's decided to respect your parents' wishes. I don't know the situation with your parents and why they don't want you together, but I think if you two got caught again, things may be worse for you.

It's not your job to wait for him. If he hasn't taken you back already, he might not. Just keep moving forward. If he still has feelings for you, he'll either see that he's about to lose you and come back, or miss his chance. You can't keep waiting for him to man up. You deserve better than that. Don't let him hold you back.

I think it's a good idea. I get to know a lot of guys during the time that I'm going through that kind of thing. That's how I became closer with a lot of my guy friends. You should try it.

Eventually, you're going to realize that it's not worth the pain, and you'll move on. Sometimes it takes longer, but it does happen.

We only dated for three months and my way of getting over him was to think of all the things I didn't like about him, and get rid of all the pictures of him I had, and stuff from him I didn't really want anymore. I still have a bracelet he gave me because it's pretty. But the whole dance thing helped me get over him really quickly.

No, I'm completely over him. It's been like, a year and I have another boyfriend now. I realized what a jerk he is and that helped me get over him. The next time I saw him after our break up was at a dance and he asked me to dance, but all he did was talk about other girls the whole time.

That story, "Closure", had to do with my ex and I. I wrote it when he'd first broken up with me, so all the stuff about the mom making them break up was really what happened to us. And he had a new girlfriend a few days later, or that's what he told me. The story was about what I wanted to happen, even though I knew it wouldn't. I don't know how I would continue it, because reading that story reminds me of him.

Oh, and their names are really our middle names. I originally used our first names for the story, but I changed them to our middle names.
