I was going to be named Amanda, but then my mom fell asleep so my birth father gave me the name he wanted. I'm lucky I was a girl, because I would have been Ashley even if I was a boy. It can be a boy's name but... no, it's just weird. My sister ended up being amanda.

Actually, I like your name to. Mines so common, it's annoying. There are currently... 50 Ashley's at my school. That wouldn't be that bad, except a lot of them are in my grade too. And theres always the fact that when people say actually it almost always comes out sounding like Ashley, so I'll turn around like, "what?" and I always get weird, "I wasn't talking to you" looks.

But i like my name too, and I wouldn't change it.

Ah, that sucks. I had a friend named Ashlynn for a while, then she moved. I remember everyone was always calling her Ashley. It really annoyed her. I think it's prolly cuz Ashley is a really common name, and Ashlynn isn't
