"My eyes and yours are the darkest browns, his eyes the darkest blue." What an incredible line. Using eyes to identify infidelity. Those have to be my favorite lines out of the poem.
It seems to me like the typical reaction has been contemplated. The personal crime that has been commited could easily lead to contempt, but in the end true paternal love overcomes. That is a true parent. It has nothing to do with blood.
The rhyming is nicely placed. Not overdone or corny.
This is a great poem that covers a magnificent topic. I really love the ending. It's rather heartwarming within all of the betrayal.
