This is definitely a change in your style and some lines didn't rhyme, but it has its own ups and downs and it doesn't mean it's any less than any other you've written. =) I really loved it, in fact. I could sense that this is based on true experience? It's filled with emotion and it even had an air of sadness! I could really feel it, so are you all right?
