Valediction - Comments

The poem may concern someones death but to me it didn't sound sad at all. Death is sad, yes, and it doesn't need poetry to make it obvious. In here it sounds more like you were accepting that it happened and that he wasn't coming back. There's a hint of sadness but most of it comes of as being relieved with being able to get all of it off your chest.

One can really feel the sadness you possessed when you wrote this. It carries in and makes the poem wonderful, while heartbreaking and real.
