What is Christianity? - Comments

Christianity is a way of life.
A forgiveness.
It is forgiveness of sins to a greater being. Maybe he doesn't live in a cloud dressed in silks. What is the Lord? He is a presence that can never be lost, but just forgotten.
Christianity is not against gays, athiests, jews, it is merely a being.
Even those who do not study, or worship it are.
I don't need to go to a church to be with God. He is everywhere.
Who said that I, because I listen to Punk Rock, because I prefer Science, because I make mistakes, because I question God, am a bad person. I'm not Athiest. I just have a mind.

I like this when I take a step back and read it as just someone who enjoys literature (so that my opinions and own thoughts wouldn't cloud my judgment. because religion is just so touchy like that) because it shows that you - or the person speaking in the poem - struggled with what to believe, and I like that because it means you can think for yourself, and don't just accept what you're told. I know tons of people who just take everything as fact (not just Christians, I mean LOADS of people) and then don't question it at all...

Amen! I absolutely love your insight on what followers Christ should be opposed to what we actually are. How we conduct ourselves mindful of God's Word in every aspect of our lives, whether it's in our car and someone cuts us off or be it the sanctuary during worship service. We are leaving great impact on those around us that are still lost in the world as well as tampering with our own salvation when we're not being true. Thanks so much for your wisdom. Stay in the Word and you cannot go wrong.

this poem is incredible. so many people don't care about God's love anymore, and so many people don't care about church because they don't see how much it's important. I love God with all my heart and i want you to know that your poem is amazing and true and brilliant.

i totally hated christianity yet said i was one when i ussed to be a terrible person. i totally thought it was some stupid set of rules and God didnt give an efff.
i HATED religion, control, rules
but then i hit rock bottom
and i gave God a real chance
and i was proven so wrong

its about love, a relationship, God...
ill never regret becoming a real christian
