i love the parentheses. they just make it for me. it makes me wonder what each one represents, because i don't understand. the part about painting eggs/toxins was my favorite. i got such amazing vivid imagery from this. i like how the parentheses didn't continue in the same order. this just really made me think, trying to figure out what the parentheses meant and how it all related back to the title.

The imagery is really good. I love how I got an image (a negative one at that) from each stanza and a conclusion at the end that fit all the pieces together. Cleverly written.

So, you're a pretty damn amazing writer.
Everything about this poem, I loved.
My favorite part though, was (truth 1)
"Sugar coated lies, still taste bitter inside"
Because some people have no idea, how truthful that is.
If we could subscribe to poems, I'd be the first to subscribe to yours :)

i love the truth you place within the poem, "burtal honesty, hurts for the moment but sets you free" you just helped me solve a problem ive been trying to figure out for days, about leaving...and staying...and why. the truth doesnt change as lies do, and thats why lies are hollow and when you stand on them you fall through, i like your poem, keep writing like this, the style is unique, individual, and kind of reminds me of a butterfly, like in a black and white tradgedy an orange butterfly flies away in the rain kind of thing :P idk, good luck
