I agree with you completely. This was one of my more rushed war lyrics. So I took it less seriously. If I were veteran I would add alot more meaning to it b/c I would have the experience and stories to put in. I do like this for some reason though. It just isn't as good as my other material. Still I felt rebellious writing it. xD

There's a certain sense of authenticity that only a veteran can provide. That insight is exactly what this poem lacks. It feels more like a reflection on some video game rather than a portrayal of war.

'Days are over,
The time of night has arrived,
Life is over,
It’s time for us to die.'

And

'Flash bang grenades in tornadoes,
Going off with the storm.
Everything falls to pieces,
Everything’s fucking gone.'

My favorites. This is pretty fucking awesome, in a weird way.
