I write dark stuff all my poems are like this

...and as a disclaimer: that's just my personal reaction.

I believe there to be a limit of depressing literature one can take. You have managed to reach that limit in one poem. I was cringing by the end. Of course authors are not obligated to be cheery, nor do they owe us even one sentence that makes us smile; but this is an example of a poet taking that liberty a little too far.
