Very nice, poetic (of course). I like how it starts all sorta innocent-like; a letter sent, lost to time; and ends on a darkner note. Something I didn't expect or see coming. I like the use of "ashes to ashes" it lends that hint of something darker, but also fits so well with the more inocet part that we still don't see it coming and son't make the connection until the end. Very well done.
