at times I lose the literal meaning of the words but the rhythm and tone more than make up for it. And I don't really get the feeling of losing you after the 3rd stanza, and I feel like the poem really picks up in the fourth stanza. You have a great pounding rhythm that drives the poem. I especially like the line “The thrumming drumming coming dark”. Honestly reminds me of Poe, gave me shivers as I read it. It's a really great well crafted poem, great job.
