I think that this is one of the most emotional poems that I have ever read before. I have read one other poem about war before, but I think this one is my favorite. I don't know a lot about the Vietnam war, but I can see a lot of the details about it through your beautiful poem. I think the last line is my favorite, because I can't imagine what it would be like to go through a situation like that and live through it, yet they are still relieved to be going home even though they have lost many friends and comrades during the war.
