I love how this poem was a metaphor for the dark thoughts in our minds. Some people let the darkness consume them - through no fault of their own - while others find a way to escape the darkness.
I also like how you used color as a metaphor for the happiness in our lives. Some people let the color seep through into their life while others block it out completely. I think it is a great metaphor for life.
I thought this poem was wonderfully well written and I think you did an amazing job creating emotion in this piece. It was a great read!
Thank you for that. The Poem was truthfully a good bit of my thoughts on my grandfathers cancer when I was young and battling the darkness of depression and having a hard time seeing any color at all. Your comment means so much thank you.
