PieceMyHeart: Hey there, first of all thank you so much for reading/for your comment/feedback - I just fall over myself when this happens. It's incredible. If you found my poem wonderful, then I find the fact that you read it wonderful. :)

I really enjoyed reading your comment and what you thought of this poem. And yes I was going for a contradictory approach. The fact that I'm saying I know people - but only because I'm surrounded by them, not that I actually understand them. Saying I know romance - but then the test tubes, a scientist approach, not really understanding at all.

Everything is fake and that's art. Everyone is sad and that's beautiful. All things are dying and that's poetry. Of course - we're being pessimistic about it all. I suppose I could have wrote about poetry not being dead and illustrated with sunshine and new born babies, young love and peace, globalisation and unity. ... I suppose we don't always do what we should do.

Josh: Whoa. That's a bit of a moment (understatement of my life). Don't think I've ever imagined anyone aspiring to be someone like me and the fact that it's for my writing. Thanks, I can't even thank you enough you have no idea. Thanks.

And haha I was incredibly excited about "glare into the sun and punch the moon as well" I worried at first about whether I wanted this poem to go in that kind of direction - initially with the "who they want to screw" bit (and yeah I meant screw as in fuck, not just take advantage of) but yeah I love it too. :)

Wow is all I can say about this poem, it is a long and wonderful work of art, the flow is brilliant. Most importantly it's full of truth especially how you emphasize people about people not speaking out or don't have the guts to say what's on their minds. Don't tell me poetry is dead, no it's not. I'm a romantic at heart read my poems. My God people are selling their souls daily, their fake, insincere and shallow. Many of us are going through the motions of living life; living an existence. I think most live life carefully, we do die carefree because most of us if we don't take our own lives die carefree meaning we have no choice as to how we die, but we do have a choice as to how we live our lives. Wonderful poem. We should all pursue things that capture our hearts. :)

You've officially become the writer that I hope to become at some point. If I would have written "Glare into the sun and punch the moon" as like the last line of a poem of my own...you can bet I'd have ran all over the house all excited. I loved this whole thing, but that last line just drove it to be one of my favorite poems ever.
