I've had to read this a few times to come up with anything to say. You've given us a story, and it's really easy to follow. Not only that it's completely heartbreaking.
It's not just about losing someone close to you, it's about losing someone you really love with all your heart. The journey of the pain through your body.
The line, "Still the ticking of the clock stood out as immensely as her pain." really sticks out to me. As well as the stanza that follows that.
This is really beautiful. You did an excellent job. Even the layout is fitting.
*I watch to much walking dead* lol because I could think of zombies and her being stuck somewhere at first. Don't mind me. But as I read on, I noticed it was because someone died, this is actually really good :)
