Thank you very much! My original ending was less ambiguous and I'm very glad I made the change because I think the mystery adds a lot to the poem. I should have some more writing up before the new year and I hope it meets your expectations

I just read the article about this poem, and I'm so glad I actually clicked the link to read this. I genuinely like this. I like the fact that you didn't outright say that the tall, dark stranger is death, and even then it's just ambiguous enough. Looking forward to reading more of your work!
