    Oh wow, well I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. My meaning behind it definitely had nothing to do with sins or satan...I was writing about a brief fling I had with a much older woman that was primary based on sex. I just enjoy layering metaphors on top of one another to display that. Thank you for the comment and the read.

    This is a very interesting poem! It certainly took a turn I wasn't expecting. I loved the descriptions you used. They really painted a picture, and I could almost see the fire flickering. The vocabulary you used in the second half of the poem paints an entirely different picture and brings up some questions. Is this woman sacrificing herself to be eaten? And if she is, why? I also get the idea that she's not the first to do this, and won't be the last. I kind of interpret it as a woman acknowledging her sins and surrendering herself to Satan. That's probably not what you were going for, but that's what I'm envisioning.

    Anyway, as I said before, this is a wonderful poem :)
