  • I love this poem... in such few words you say so much and the way you do it is awesome :)

  • This is such a great poem! First of all, the way you've layed out of the verses is really effective; it looks really cool, and the way it seperates out the 'dialogue' adds to the overall effectiveness of the piece.

I also really like the parallels and repitition of the first two verses and the last two, how you flip the perspective and tone, and I love how the narrator of the piece manages to turn to the voice and go, You know what? I AM good, and I AM strong.

I can see the 'devil' as being either a literal devil, a bully, or the voice of someone's depression.

  • This is a wonderful poem. It may be short, yes, but it carried meaning, raw emotion.

It shows how words can be small, but carry so much weight it can feel horrible, or amazing. It all depends on what we say. Our tongue is one of the smallest parts in our body, but it is a powerful weapon used as venom or medicine.
