DripDripDrop - Comments

  • Reading this gives off a strong impression of being in the mindset of a child. The words and organization you chose in particular give this general feeling -like the narrator is easily impressed and fascinated by the world around him or her. It's this feeling of absolute wonderment that makes the poem outstanding; the sheer ecstasy at discovering the bird, and at being mesmerized by the raindrops, just convey a very strong yet subtle feeling of happiness within the reader.
You could probably get this poem published very easily; it shows a masterful use of language.

  • Out of your posted poems, this is my favourite.
I found your poems to be rather clever, with interesting and quirky ways of using words and form.

But yeah, I like this one a lot... the exclamation marks make me think that it's somewhat manic, with the drip drop drip drop throughout, like some irritating metronome you're trying to break from.

I dunno, it's quite possible that I've spewed out a load of shit, but I liked it :-)
