Well I thought the second part was kind of sad, at least it sounded like that whan I read it. But of course I might be wrong...

Morbid? This one isn't meant to be morbid, it's happy it's about a happy memory and hope for the future.
And the terrible thing that happened is that I asked her out and she "shot me down".

I like this one, it really gets good in the second part. I told you already I'm a sucker for morbid thoughts. I guess you weren't feeling really happy when you wrote this, but the good thing is that whatever awful thing happened with that girl gave you inspiration. Sorry this might not be the most kind comment you've received...
