Haha, I think I was thinking of new moon, by stephenie meyer, and then somehow I thought of the full moon. I don't know, my mind works in strange ways

I can't help but add in something about X-Men origins (id have to say its an okay movie in my opinion eding on awesome) any ways i love the myth about the moon in there
The moon is lonely cuz it used to have a lover. Cant spell his name but he was tricked by Trickster to go down to earth to pick flowers. Once he left the spirit realm he couldn't return so he howls the moon's name into the night. His name means wolverine.
