Terrified

I am terrified to know what
my future may hold.
I am terrified to fly and lean
out my window.
I am terrified of danger, the
water's too deep.
I am terrified to try, my thoughts
make me weak.
I am terrified to run, where I want
to be is far.
I'm terrified to lose you, and be
lost without a heart.

And I'm sick and scared of people
destroying this planet.
I'm terrified to know that I'm
one of them, and it-
Terrifies me that I can live in such fear.
It terrifies me to know I'm much
braver than I dare.
Because terror, you see, is easy to spend.
Once you've lost it you'll witness the
world arise in your hands.
