Stitches And Robots: A Love Letter

To the one I used to love,

I hope this finds you well,
Safely contained down in hell
Where you can remember what you did to us,
Creator of the big big mess.
Bound in your shackles and chains
It's hard to believe you caused me so much pain.

But you did.
And for that I can't forgive

So now I'm writing this letter
To show you I can make it on my own
This way it's so much better
Free of all the hate you'd sewn
Into your heart

To the one I used to dream about,

Now those dreams have turned into nightmares
Nowhere left to run, leaving me scared
The cliched flowers and fields
Have been replaced with blood, bones and nails
And even the memory of when we first met
Leaves me lying in a cold sweat.

You tore my heart
In two right from the start

So now I'm writing this letter
To show you I can make it on my own
This way it's so much better
Free of all the hate you'd sewn
Into your heart

This body of mine is broken
Climbing out of this pit of despair
I've taken my life back and I hoping
I'll stay free from all the hate you'd sewn
Into your heart.

The love in your eyes has been replaced
You've been brainwashed by hate and deceit
But remember you brought this upon yourself
You just took me along for the ride.

To the one who used to be my all,
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss you
I just wish you felt the same way too.

So now I'm writing this letter
To show you I'm still in love
I can't help it, I'm human
But I know if you get rid of all the hate you'd sewn into your heart
Maybe we could rewind this back to the start

To the one I still love,
I've here the truth will set you free
So replace your robotic soul
And come running back to me.
