To Daddy

To Daddy,
I remember when you used to play with me and Sally,
When you used to paint our nails,
I remember Daddy when you read us Peter Rabbit tails.
I think of how much you used to care,
Before I go to sleep and have another nightmare.
About you daddy,
That you don’t come home to me and Sally.
I miss you daddy,
I love you daddy,
Come home soon daddy…
Safely away from the war,
So we can see you more.
I miss you very much Daddy…
Your little girl, Jessica.
