End Of Her World

This girl, her face only shows truth
You can see in her eyes that she is strong
But when she talks, do you see that gleam?
The shimmer of tears, before she blinks them away?
The way she shakes her head, a lame attempt to cleanse impure vision
Sometimes, little movies play through her mind
She watches, and her eyes become vacant, far away
If you can, you'll catch flashes of sorrow
She's never quite there, but somewhere else, listening to another story, in someone else's perspective
And it scares her, scares her more than anything ever has before
She's frightened, but she cannot hide from these hands
Clawing at her ankles, dragging her down
Dragging her down to her own personal hell
And she's losing herself
Between the anger and the razor, there is only flesh
Torn and scarred
It is still flesh but there's nothing else
And flesh, you see, does not define who she is, but what she is going through
What she has lost
There is no love, compassion, happiness between the anger and the razor
And no, she's not okay, she is broken, unspoken
And she can't tell people what she's feeling, that hurts worse
And her life
Is moving too fast
And she's running harder and harder, trying to get away
But as her heart turns to steal, it becomes too hard to stand, to go on
She gives up, of course, what else is she supposed to do?
One night, not tonight, she will spread her wings and fly away
Please know, that when you see those vacant stares
She's thinking of death, and slowly losing her mind
And there's this gaping hole in her chest, and it aches
She doesn't care about anyone, anything, honestly
She wants everything to end
She wants happiness instead of anger
She hates the temper she has, how short she is with people
She wants someone to LISTEN TO HER
She wants the people that she took the TIME, the MINUTES OFF HER LIFE that she will NEVER get back to listen to their problems, she wants them to listen
She needs ADVICE
And she gets none, so she sits in the shower listening to one song over and over again, in a ball, and cries and gasps for breath because she can't grasp where she's going, and how fast she's losing herself
This is someone who used to have control, over her emotions, over everything
How come you were there for her when she DIDN'T need you?
How come when she finally does you blow her off, because it's too much to handle in your mind?
How about when she helped you when you thought everything was over, that this was the end of YOUR world?
Well, this is the end of HERS.
