Oh How Times Change

There was a time when you looked at me and radiated happiness.
A time when you told me no one had ever made you feel like I did.
That you were the person you wanted to be when you were with me.

I remember your green eyes shining bright from the porch light.
You kissed me goodbye instead of good night,
at the time I didn't know the difference.

If I had known that was the last time you would ever acknowledged my existance I would have fought for you.

But instead I see you every week and you look right through me like I never meant anything to you, like I didn't change things for you like you swore I did.
