Together, Forever Missing

Haven't heard from you in days,
This beacon we lit lasted through this night once before
Only to be alone without my fears.
Enough to get me through
But not enough to cope
Now that you've been gone without reason.

Only another short line
Telling you to wait a while,
Just another pain of mine
Trying to escape this lonely fate.
Left with an empty glass,
A slowly burning cigarette,
Two poorly warmed hands
And a mood that asks for medication.
If only you were not missing.

Is this because of the chill in the air?
Killing each individual fear,
It pushes us away but keeps us near.
This life has little meaning,
When I'm slowly drinking my heart to sleep
Because you're not here.

There is nothing burning bright
Even if this night slowly draws in,
It will start coming to it's end
When there's little to comprehend.
I want you to come back
To my heart and into my arms.
If only we had found eachother.
