Fall Out Boy - Evening Out With Your Girlfriend
Evening Out With Your Girlfriend gives way to a much younger version of the Fall Out Boy that we all know and love today. This record was released when they were five Fall Out Boys:
Patrick Stump – Lead Vocals,
Pete Wentz – Bass Guitar,
Joe Trohman – Guitar, Backing Vocals
T.J. Kunasch - Guitar
Mike - Drums
Andy Hurley was added to the band in 2003.
Fall Out Boy’s Evening Out With Your Girlfriend is your High School years put into nine amazing songs .The lyrics to the whole album are written by Patrick Stump, mainly about how he felt in high school. On later albums, Pete Wentz took over primary lyric writing. The rest of the songs on EOWYG are completely honest, young, witty, and occasionally nerdy.
Honorable Mention
When the moonlight hits your bright eyes I go blind
And maybe next time
I’ll remember not to tell you something stupid like I’ll never leave your side
Like the oldest movie I ever saw was the one we wrote together
I said I’d hate you but I’d never change a thing
I can be your John Cusack
When I first purchased the CD I was astounded at how much Patrick’s voice has changed (it makes you just want eat him.. It’s really cute). I will admit that EOWYG took a couple of weeks to get used to. Once I got used to the flow of the CD I actually started to really enjoy the music.
In conclusion, this is a really excellent CD to listen to if you’re ever feeling down. This is a CD that you can listen to and you can relate to EVERY lyric in EVERY song. Evening Out With Your Girlfriend is a much needed CD in each Fall Out Boy fan’s music collection. I would say that this will be a classic CD for Fall Out Boy in the years to come. I don’t know if its just me but… Does Pete Wentz just get better looking with age or what..?
