You're Awful, I Love You - Ludo

You're Awful, I Love You - Ludo Love Me Dead was suggested to me by Steven Smith on his Fuse-aired show, Steven's Untitled Rock Show. All I did was watch the music video, and I fell in love. Of course, I never paid any attention to the name of the band, let alone the title of the song, but had I had faith in Steven to play it again for me.

For a while, I wanted to know what the song was, how it went, where I could get it. And finally, one faithful day while coincidentally shopping for the Katy Perry album, One Of The Boys, I happened to fall upon You're Awful, I Love You.

I was basically buying the album blindly, not knowing what I'd have to look forward to music wise. I went home and put the CD into my iTunes library, then syncing it to my iPod. I had a good feeling about this album, even before listening to the music.

Five seconds after turning my iPod on, I went straight to the album and turned on the album, listening to what I was expecting to be great music. Want to hear a secret? It was! Love Me Dead is a sick, twisted love story of its own, of a man complaining about his horrid, stupid, drunkie girlfriend and what she makes him feel.

Next is Drunken Lament, a very odd song that tells of how drinking can affect a relationship, and even comparing the man's alcohol consumption to a Sailor's. Although, pouring rum into someone's eyes doesn't really sound all that fun, this song definitely is!

Track three is my favorite for multiple reasons. First, three is my lucky number, second, it's a great song, and third, I know you'll love it, too. This is the slow song of the album, and is sure to be a hit with any heart-broken emo kid. The track title is Please, and the author of the story must have been begging his girlfriend to stay with him while he was away.

If you like the sound of this review, I know you'll love You're Awful, I Love You just as much as I do. The album is available everywhere now, and you can check out the band's myspace!
