Dope: No Regrets
The 10th of March is the anticipated date release of Dopes new album: No Regrets, this is their fifth studio album since 'American Apathy'.
Dope has been pushing this album back for a while, in one of concerts they stated that they want to get payed before releasing it. One of the songs for the album, 'Nothing For Me Here' can be seen on Guitar Hero 3, Legends Of Rock on the bonus tracks, the rest of the songs can be heard as preview's on the bands official website, along with a full music video of 'Addiction' available to be viewed.
Getting back to the album itself; No Regrets is Dopes most impressive work to date, every one of their songs are heavier, faster and more riff driven from the rest. Edsel (lead in the band) proclaims, "One of our main goals was to smarten things up and to really let the lead guitars shred. The tunes are smarter, but they still have that Dope swagger to them." This encouraged the drums to get faster and more precise. The album was produced at his studio in Chicago, IL and shares a majority of the production with "Virus". his long-time guitarist and song writer.
Overall the new album is looking up to be a brilliant addition to Dopes albums, but will it play up to the fans expectations when it's released?
