Final Attraction
Fresh out of Germany, the visual kei-influenced alternative pop band Cinema Bizarre certainly blew the world’s socks off with their debut album, ‘Final Attraction’, which was released in late 2007 across Europe. With sounds from 80’s pop rock bands such as Depeche Mode and Eurythmics, as well as mixing it with their own glam rock, the band definitely has a unique sound. From slower, more down-beat songs like ‘Silent Scream’, to up-beat, faster songs such as ‘Dysfunctional Family’, this album has it all.
With 3 singles released from the album - ‘Lovesongs (They Kill Me)’, ‘Escape To The Stars’, and ‘Forever or Never’, respectively (plus a remix, ‘Escape To The Stars (Rough Edge Mix)’) - the band seems to have certainly hit if off. Not only is ‘Final Attraction’ popular in Germany, but also France, Italy, and Austria, which says a lot about the music in itself. Now, with much happiness, the band is releasing their CD in America, as well as ‘Lovesongs (They Kill Me)’, which is now available on iTunes.
In my opinion of all things music, this has got to be one of the catchiest albums I’ve ever listened to. The guitarist, Yu, gives a great contribution of the energy, while the keyboardist, Luminor (who left the band due to personal issues and has been replaced by a new keyboardist named Rom3o), matches perfectly with it. If you’re looking for the best album of 2007, ‘Final Attraction’ is what you are looking for, so buy it today, because you definitely won’t regret it!
