I listened to the entire album and it's amazing. In my opinion they defnitely topped Amreican Idiot. :D
My favorites are American Eulogy, 21 Guns, and Last of the American Girls.
They definitely kicked ass on this album.
I can't wait until Friday, I already asked Wal-Mart to hold a copy for me. :D

Oh, and one more thing. You were spot on when you talked about the impressive range of Billie Joe's voice throughout this album. It's amazing. *Sigh* And the ratings were also extremely good, and basically a mirror of my thoughts.

    Awesome, awesome article. =]

Awesome! Those ratings at the bottom are amazing! =D
I was expecting them to be lower because of people complaining about how they 'changed their style' or whatever.
    Two more days!

I am so excited for the new album release this Friday! If I didn't have to be at school, I'd be parked in front of the TV watching Green Day on Fuse all day.
Topping American Idiot is going to be hard, but I bet they can do it!
    Great review! :)

as soon as you said that I had the line "My name is no one, you're long lost son" pop in my head... lmao except, y'know, replace son with daughter. XD
but yeah, I wanted to compare and contrast them because it's inevitable that someone will try and say that oh, Billie's just recycled those characters when when you really look at it, they're vastly different. I could've made a research paper on just the differences between those 4 characters but I managed to sum it up in one big paragraph. XD. It's a lot more interesting when you realize the people that inspired Whatsername and who I assume inspired Gloria..

=D You done them proud, Armstrong-child. I thought it was very will written, describing the album well and stirring up anticipation without any obvious spoilers.
I like how you contrasted the characters on AI with the characters here. Its definitely something I'll be thinking about when I listen to the album in its entirety.

    Thank you! =]
I actually wrote this at 4 this morning in around 30 minutes whilst listening to the album for the 30th time. I've been saving this album ramble for a while though.
and that's precisely the way I felt. I expected a great album, not the greatest one I've ever heard...

    :tehe: Why thank you....
and of course 21 Guns gets a 5/5. That song is just lovely. It was actually quite hard to rate them lower than a 4.5 or 5. This album just.. it's brilliant. Simple as that. And I was being as critical as I could.

As is this review, actually. Well done. :)
