Ah, see, I'm a Dougie fangirl through and through. Funnily enough, I got into them in the exact same way; someone bought my sister the album in 2004 and I adored them from that moment on.

Dougie songs are the best songs (a little bit biased as he's my favourite but whatever). Do Watcha is one of my favourite songs at the moment, just because he sings. And I'm the opposite, I read the fanfiction but don't write it, haha!

Yeah - I let out the clichéd 'aaaah' when I read that part of the book (which is awesome!). I get your point; but I'm a total Tom Fletcher fangirl when it comes to songwriting, haha. I'd be exactly the same - five stars all the way! :')

I do love Ignorance, and Silence is a Scary Sound. Dougie songs are brilliant haha. I always wanted to write a McFly related article, but could never find anything objective I wanted to say :D They're one of mine too, ever since someone bought my sister Room on the Third Floor way back in 2004. I don't read the fanfiction either, but shamelessly write it myself! And yes, it is always brilliant to find follow McFly fans on Mibbz :D

I definitely agree with the comment about Above the Noise. I thought it was a poor album in general, but after reading their book, I kind of get why. And the Uranus reference will always be fantastic, I just don't like the rest of the song. It was ridiculously difficult for me to not just give everything 5 stars and be done with it :')

The deluxe version is definitely worth the extra money, it has songs like Ignorance and stuff on it, which is great. I never see anything McFly related, which is really gutting considering they are one of my all-time favourite bands. It's always wicked to see other fans on here ^^

There are four counts on which I disagree with you:
    1. Shine a Light (in my opinion) is one of the best on a rather lacking album. It does belong there, being a strong and successful single and a highly catchy track. But, it's your opinion and you do have a point about it not having the McFly oomph - though most of the album lacks it.
    2. Star Girl is probably one of the best McFly songs ever written, even if only for the Uranus reference. But again, it's just difference of opinion.
    3. Don't Stop Me Now flopped quite a bit for me, simply because I don't like Queen covers by anyone. I liked their little twist on it, but I never got over the fact that it was Queen.
    4. I have to disagree with I'll Be Okay, for the fact it offers such a good message to their fans. It's incredibly catchy, has a wonderfully creative video, and is a brilliant track to listen to when you need a pick me up.

I just had to put that out there. You bring some very good reasons to your ratings, which always makes me happy; I like people who know what they're talking about! There's no point in saying something without being able to back it up, and you wrote your explanations perfectly. And I love you for that.

I'm a pretty serious and long-term McFly fan myself, and have been dying to get my hands on this album - preferably the deluxe edition. I've heard most of those demos before but to have them whenever I want them would be brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this article, despite my being difficult about your ratings, and loved reading something McFly related. This is a wonderful review and you wrote it brilliantly. I loved it, thank you Smile

You can listen to it on the likes of Spotify as well, I think. But it really is a fab album, I'm so glad they released it ^^

Thank you! It's absolutely fabulous. If you're going to get any copy of it, I recommend the deluxe edition. It gives you a ridiculous amount more than these tracks (not that they've scrimped on the normal edition, it's packed as it is). And you couldn't not acknowledge Dougie's vocal contributions. He's perfect :')

Your review of this was splendid!
Not that I was too worried about McFly releasing this compilation,
but this review only reinforced how much I need to acquire it.
    In Love
I like how honest you were and I'm glad you also
    acknowledged Dougie's vocal contributions.
