Red

Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, Red, included both pop and country tracks, giving it a well-rounded feeling. In this album, Taylor Swift went back to her roots and kept up with the current trends, making the album a quick hit. Each track in Red gave a insight into Swift's life and made for an excellent album.

1. State of Grace (9/10)

"State of Grace" has the clever use of a great drum rhythm to give the song a rock vibe, making the song a unqiue change for Swift. The song has a great message about living in the moment, and it is a great anthem for the youth that Swift reaches out to.

2. Red (9/10)

The album's titular song gets back to Swift's roots - a great, romantic song about heartbreak. The song is exactly what Swift fans expect from her, and it is the perfect track to signify the album.

3. Treacherous (10/10)

"Treacherous" is a beauitful song about the trials and triumphs of falling and being in love. The song's slow beat fits the lyrics well, and it quickly became favorite track on the album.

4. I Knew You Were Trouble (7/10)

"I Knew You Were Trouble" is one of the obvious pop tracks on the album. With a catchy hook and upbeat rhythm, it is a great song for singing in the car and dancing with friends.

5. All Too Well (8/10)

"All Too Well" is a sad, slow song that will leave Swift fans reminiscing about her older albums. The tragic break up song is easy to relate to and is a classic Swift tune.

6. 22 (8/10)

"22" is one of the more "poppy" tracks on the album. It is a great song for dancing with a fun, summer feeling to it. The song, which is about being carefree and young, tells listeners to forget about the haters and just have fun - one of Swift's many mottos.

7. I Almost Do (7/10)

"I Almost Do" is another classic love song from Swift about the pain after love has ended and the feelings that are still often there. It is another song that many fans will relate to.

8. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (7/10)

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is another one of the album's pop track, and after gracing the radio for many months, it has become well known. It has a catchy hook that easily gets stuck in your head, but was not one of my favorites.

9. Stay, Stay, Stay (6/10)

"Stay, Stay, Stay" is a fun, upbeat song that makes great use of Swift's guitar. It is a nice break from some of the more serious tracks on the album, but it didn't really fit in with the rest.

10. The Last Time (7/10)

"The Last Time" is another slow song from Swift, which uses a soft piano throughout the song to give it a classic feeling. The song, a duet with Gary Lightbody, is an excellent addition to the album.

11. Holy Ground (9/10)

"Holy Ground" is a beautiful track that is fun, while also having a rock tone to it. It is a great mix of Swift's newer songs and her older stuff. The song quickly became one of my favorites.

12. Sad Beautiful Tragic (6/10)

"Sad Beautiful Tragic" is yet another break up song on the Red album. Its soft beat has it blending in with the rest, and while it has a good messsage, it gets lost in the crowd.
