Tokio Hotel - Scream

Tokio Hotel - Scream German rock and Tokio Hotel has recently released their anticipated debut English album Scream. Is it what you have expected?

In charting records at No. 1, playing to ten or 20 thousand each night and being feted with every German industry award, Tokio Hotel has become one of East Germany’s biggest stars in a 20 year range. Since signing with Universal in May 2005, TH have sold approaching three million records & DVDs in Germany alone, making them the country’s most successful band. In America, this well know rock band has recently made their English debut album Scream on May 6th, 2008, and to celebrate this release, Tokio Hotel will be shaving a full on autograph session on May 12th at a local Hollywood Hot Topic beginning at 7 pm and the following day they will be performing at the Avalon.

Off of the new album, Tokio Hotel’s first single release has been the top charting hit song “Ready, Set Go!” in the United States, building up their new found America fan base. ” At first, it did feel weird to re-record our song in English, but it soon became fun.” quotes lead singer Bill Kaulitz.

Tokio Hotel consists of the dynamic duo Tom and Bill Kaulitz, Tom being the older twin by 10 minutes, Gustav Schafer, and Georg Listing. With Bill on vocals, Tom on guitar/back up vocals, Gustav on drums, and Georg on bass.

Each song off of the new album comes with a different vibe and feel. Some being soft such as Monsoon and some being energetic like Scream.

Scream approaches as an English follow up to the bands 2005 albums ‘Schrei’ (’Scream’) and ‘Zimmer 483? (’Room 483?). Album being, it is a remake of some of their hit songs of both previous albums. France, Austria, Switzerland and most East-European countries are all now making their mark on the gold & platinum scale, paving the way for a co-ordinated leap into the wider overseas market, with the US & UK ridin’ high on the ‘to do’ list.
BY VISITING the website of their hometown Magdeburg you can see who the town (population 230,000) considers its foremost sons & daughters.

Tokio Hotel consists of e ach member having their own styles, unlike most bands, Bill prefers to be as the exotic anime like one consisting of his spiky hair or rather maine, Tom being the “gangster” of the boys with his trademark dreadlocks and love for German rap artist Samy Deluxe , Georg being dubbed the normal one of the group, has just cut out with simple tee’s and love for his favorite bands are Green Day and Oasis, although his biggest bass playing influence is Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And last but not least, Gustav, the quiet one of the group, being nicknamed “Teddy Bear” by fans, for being the cuddly one. Do believe, no matter how they look or sound, I recommend that these boys be added in your play list and you being on your way right now to check out their new album Scream
