I love this book! It's become one of my all-time favourites, which is quite hard :) I have to say that The Hunger Games was amazing but the second, Catching Fire, was even better, if that could even be true x
    Everyone should read it!

This is most definitely my favorite book written. It reminds me of a futuristic 'Lord of the Flies'. It is VERY vivid and I also lost sleep over it. I stayed up all night to finish it.
My dreams about it are also nightmares with me in the Hunger Games. Its not hard to imagine, and I think that's what makes it so good - she made Panem in such a way that it almost seems real. Suzanne Collins developed her characters so well that I felt like I had known them forever. I can picture them as real people and not just characters in books. Truly a great book written.

I read this when it first came out and grabbed Cathching Fire it's release day, too, and they're both in my top ten favorite books. I think Suzanne did an amazing job on both, but the cliffhangers just about killed me. :D

Slow beginning, but grabs your attention. Extremely well written, and the sequel "Catching Fire" is great too! Lots of action, romance, and excitement.

I just finished this one as part of an assignment for my Young Adult Literature class, and although this isn't the sort of thing I most usually read (I'm more of a classics person), I find I did enjoy it nonetheless. Very well thought out, just the right combination of gore, mystery, action, and romance. A bit slow at first, like you said, but once you get into it it's impossible to put down. I read it in a day.

I finished reading the second book a while ago, it had such a fantastic yet horrible cliffhanger! I reread the book.

This is very possibly one of my favorite books ever written. I had been wanting to read it for a while and then one day my friend let me borrow her books and I was hooked.
Like others I lost a night of sleep over this. I simply couldn't put it down.
It was so descriptive and capturing that when I dream it was of this, most of the time the dreams were nightmares of myself in the arena.
Katniss is such an amazing protagonist that she has become a hero of sorts to me, which is saying a lot because I have never had a hero. She is so strong and driven that I couldn't imagine myself doing half the things she had to do.
Once you start to read this you will fall in love with it, I promise.
Plus the sequel is one of the only sequels out there that leave you hanging off your seat more then the first book did.
This book is definitely worth reading, I would recommend it to anyone.
But be cautious because this book is loaded with gore, tragedy, and dare I say love.

This is a great story. My friend recommended it to me and I started reading. I guess I counted on the advice of my friend, because I kept on reading. I would have stopped reading after 10 pages, because the book seems quite tedious and slow at the beginning. But after I had gotten up to the second part of the book, things started to pace up and begin to become exciting.
This book was really well written. The description was incredible; I could imagine every single detail in the scenery of the book. :)
    Great article as well :D

A friend of mine actually told me about this book not too long ago. It seemed fairly interesting so I may have to check it out.

I picked up this book not too long ago, and as you stated in the article, it was a very hard thing to put down the book. I literally lost sleep over it. I just had to find out what happened, and if you want my honest opinion, this is one of the very few book series where the second book is even better than the first.

I do think the article could have been better written, but the beginning of it got the point across, I suppose.
