    Hmm... I may look into "The Sorrows of Young Werther, Wolfgang von Goethe" at some point though, to be honest, I skipped several of the book recommendations to get to the end. I don't have much of an attention span at this point in the summer... Thanks so much for trying to introduce all of this to us though.

    Personally, I don't have a lot of respect for the 'classics'- in my eyes a book or movie isn't good just by virtue of being 'old, boring, and very poorly written'- but maybe the fact that these were originally in German will make a difference?
