I read this book a while ago. c: Morgenstern is a local author, so there's a lot of Massachusetts hype for it. I loved the atmosphere of this book. The language, imagery, and setting was so visual and beautiful. So were the abstractions and emotions. I just wish the plot caught up to that. It seemed like the events of the book drowned in the narrative, and that made it seem more like excess than good writing. But she produced very amazing writing, and that's what made the book so incredible.
