i love love love loved this book the first time i read it. i never got around to seeing the movie, but, i plan on doing so sometime soon...

the summer reading list for the on level literature class next year has this as the priority reading novel and i'm actually quite jealous of them (since i'm going into honors next year and i have to read twilight. hrjdfa. -.-)

wonderful review/article. (:

I like your article, it definitely captures the book's attitude. Everything you wrote was pretty much how I felt when reading the book. Since reading Speak I have suggested it to many of my friends and family. So who ever reads this comment and hasn't read Speak should check it out at you local library and, as she said before, snuggle up. Because there really is something for everyone.

I agree with all of the previous comments. I read this book a few years ago and it's very touching. It still has the same effect on me now. Speak is one of my favorite books, no second thought about it. It's wonderful and beautifuly written.

i really did like how deep really gets to the subject of rape. It suprises me that you don't see what really happens to Andy after he strikes again. Does he get charged?Suspened?
The movie does that as well, leaving you completly breathless.
i love it and recomended for anyone looking for a book with amazingly good substance.

I'm SO glad someone finally wrote a review for this book.
It is my all-time favorite, I have the book and the movie, which I watch almost every week.

Everything about this book is so moving, in every way.
