Transformers

Transformers This movie was one of my all-time favorite. I saw it in theaters with my brother, sister, and my dad. We'd all died from tears of laughter before the end came. Director, Michael Bay, did a fantastic job with absolutely everything. I also give credit to Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, as the screenplay writers.

Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox, I would have never guessed at them being together in a movie. I saw Fox in the Olsen sisters movie "Holiday in the Sun" and I saw Labeouf in "Even Stevens," of course. Their chemistry was believable, and I think that's important for a movie where any romance was involved.

Oh, and the special effects were incredible! I mean, giant, high-tech robots walking around everywhere? It doesn't get much cooler than that. I think the fight towards the end between the Auto-bots and the deceptacons, over the coveted 'Cube' was one of the coolest action sequences I've ever had the privilege to watch.

The story line was really quite complex, too. It showed the movie from several different viewpoints. There was the main one, from Sam Witwicky's perspective. They also showed what was going on with Captain Lennox stranded in the middle of the dessert, and the goings on in the Pentagon.

It had a thrilling plot, a great cast, and you know a movie's good when they start making a sequel, not weeks after the first one comes out on DVD. "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is coming out in 2009, with all of our favorite actors returning to the big screen.

This movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, whether it was from anxious anticipation, or because I was laughing too hard to sit back. Everybody has a favorite line from their favorite movies, right? I can proudly assert mine.

"Well we don't have to call it that. We can call it Sam's happy time . . ." said by Julie White as Judy Witwicky.

I still laugh at that one. But it's a close call with "Mojo? Is that what the kids are doing these days? Give me a little bit of mojo!"
