Shoot 'Em Up

Shoot 'Em Up This movie had me laughing and on the edge of my seat. Shoot 'Em Up definitely made a new definition for 'action movie'.

Although, there were some scenes where the lead character, Smith, played by Clive Owen, had unbelievably amazing stunts, so much so that it didn't seem like your normal action movie anymore, more like those kinds of movies where people fly and magic exists.

I also found it quite odd that one of the villains, Hertz, played by Paul Giamatti, never seemed to die in any of the shoot outs he was in (though, everybody else in that scene died) until his last scene in the end when he and Smith had a one-on-one.

Another not-so-funny but quite odd scene in this movie was when Smith and Donna Quintano, a prostitute who played mother to the baby that Smith saved from a shoot out, played by Monica Belluci, had a sex scene, and in the middle of their 'session' Hertz' men came in and started shooting at them. Amazingly enough, Smith rolled away and grabbed his gun, shooting back at them, all the while Donna seemed unaware of the shoot out going on as she was still 'attached' to Smith, moaning as he moved about the room.

Despite all these odd scenes, the movie was a big hit and fun to watch. All you'll have to do is munch on a carrot and make sure you aren't grossed out by blood.
