Im going to have to disagree. Heath Ledgers brilliant portrayal of the criminal mastermind known as the joker was not rivaled by Gerard Butler. Ledgers performance was legendary one of a kind, Butler will never have a performance that good and Heath turned in solid performances in every one of his movies.
I dont mind Butler but Ledger was on his way to becoming a legend of acting, one of the best of all time. Butler is a mediocre brute force actor. Ledger was truly talented.
