This movie was magical for me. It brought all of my childhood dreams back to life. Though, at some parts, I thought it was a little too dark for young eyes.

Great article, I still want to see this movie. Too bad all the creatively challenged didn't understand it :(

I cried a bit, but to be totally honest, I HATED it. It didn't make much sense to me. One second they're talking about one thing, the next, they're talking about something completley different. But that's just my opinion

This movie was the cutest I've ever seen :)
I almost cried at the end because it was so sad when he leaves the island, but its happy because he gets back to his mom. And at the beginning when Max's sister's friends break his fort I wanted to get up and start screaming.
    5/5 and two thumbs up

I actually enjoyed this movie. There were various scenes that I myself could relate to when I was a kid. When the wild rumpus started in the movie I wanted to jump in and scream and kick and break things with all the Wild Things. The music was superb as well, Karen O (The Yeah Yeah Yeahs) delivered with every song sung. :)

I disagree that the movie went too slow.
I think that's the problem with too many people throughout the world. They have forgotten how to sit back and enjoy a geniunely good movie. It's like they get bored if there's not someone either blowing up, getting shot at, or having sex.
I absolutely adored the movie. I think the director did a fantastic job capturing not only the images, but also the emotions that the book instilled in all of us.
I even went to Hot Topic and bought a WTWTA hoodie. It's so cute.

Totally agree. This movie was a bit of a masterpiece, I think.

It sort of irritates me when I read reviews that say it was "too scary for a children's movie" when the fact of the matter is, it's a movie about a kid, not a movie specifically for kids. I, to be honest, bawled my eyes out, and enjoyed every minute of it :]

The story line and all was great and the characters interesting

But damn the 2012 apocalypse passed and a whole new world was created afterwords cause the movie was so damn slow paced.

That's the only problem I had and I agree with that kid who sits at your table, the movie is a total bore.

In my opinion. Props to those who like it though.

I haven't seen it yet, but this kid at our lunch table said not to see it because it's boring and worthless. I don't believe him.

This movie was everything that I expected it to be and more. It was so emotional and moving that although I agree it wasn't entirely fit for small children, it was meaningful and profound enough for all of the adults and teenagers who grew up loving this book, as I did.
